Hi there Everyone!

My name is Juan Pinnick I am your current Mr Gay World Southern Africa! I am a professional portrait and fashion photographer I am also a father to two boys. I am a gentle guy and have a very soft and big heart. My passion and drive comes from the idea of uniting the LGBTQ+ community as a family, it’s the concepts of a family I want us to embrace!

When I think about a family. The ideas of unity, Support and unconditional love come to mind, now I don’t see why we can’t share those same ideas when it comes to our huge LGBTQ+ Family!

I want those who were/are not as fortunate as me to know that there are people out there who care and love them for who they are, I want them to know that there is a support structure for them… I want them to know, I am here. There are so many people out there that just need someone to talk to, someone to share their story with, I want to be that person! I want to be that shoulder to cry on, I want to be THAT person that everyone knows they can come to, I want everyone to know, I care.

I believe that uniting our LGBTQ+ Family is possible! It might not be an easy and quick task but it is possible!

I also believe that we will be at our strongest when together, when we are working together not against each other!

I believe that when we stand together, we will be a force to be reckoned with and nothing will stand in our way

With the devastating fires of 7 June 2017, Pink Loerie Foundation joined forces with three groups based in and around #Knysna and with funds raised here we will assist with the #rebuild of Knysna.

To have a successful festival, we need funding and as the reigning Mr Gay Mardi Gras Southern Africa 2017, I would like to ask you please support this initiative.

The more funding we can raise for the festival, the more we can give back to the town and most important, the locals.

MobieG is an LGBTQ+ online support group that I host every Thursday From 7:30-8:30pm.

Its a completely free and anonymous platform where people are able to have a safe space to come and talk, get some advise and just have someone to talk to.

I believe that a lot of the time that’s all we need, is someone to talk to, someone to share our story with.

This is a small day care center in one of the rural settlements in Bloemfontein.

These Kids literally have nothing to work with, no books, no pens or pencils, no toys.

This is what we want to change. We want to get these kids a jungle gym and educational equipment.

This is also being done through crowd funding with BackaBuddy.

I’ve Partnered with BackABuddy and we are raising funds to pay for a Transgender Woman’s reassignment surgery. We are trying to raise R200K (The Cost of the Surgery).

This is all being done through crowd funding so it’s important to really try and spread the word and let people know about the project so we can get donations in.
